Our 2026-2027 programme will soon be available. Please keep checking back to see what speakers we have lined up over the coming months.  Our new season kicks off on October 5th with Dr Stella Fletcher who will give us some fascinating insights into ‘The British in Venice’.

If you are new to the Lit and Phil, take a moment to check out our Past Events and see what a wide range of topics and speakers we have had in the past.  Our next programme is equally varied and interesting.

Everybody is welcome at our meetings.  There is no need to book ahead. You can take out an annual membership which covers all six talks in the season, or come as a guest and pay at the door.  

If you are interested in getting involved with the society, please have a chat with any of our Council members – we are always at the meetings and would love to talk to you.
